MHA's Featured Group Practice is Presbyterian Psychological Services
Presbyterian Psychological Services is a mental health center serving individuals from age 3-late adulthood, couples, and families. With offices in Meyers Park and South Park, they provide psychotherapy, pastoral counseling, career assessment and counseling, and community education.
Presby Psych is accessible. They accept Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, CBHA, Cigna, and out of network benefits, offer net income based sliding scale fees, and provide low-cost treatment when even a sliding scale is too high.
This is an integrative mental health resource whose clinicians are committed to encountering every client and each other as body, mind, spirit and as embedded in a particular culture. They believe that the best psychotherapy helps individuals, couples and families grow so that they have access to more in life: more love, more creativity, more play, and more fulfillment.
Presby Psych knows that the mental health field changes as much as any other in our fast-paced world and that clinicians have a responsibility to keep up. They therefore meet for ninety minutes a week to share their work with senior consultants and to engage in continuing education.
As a non-profit, the center is committed to providing services and psychoeducation to the wider community. They have partnerships with the YWCA Women in Transition Program and with both CMPD and Charlotte Fire Department and often present on mental health topics to church and community groups.
Presbyterian Psychological Services welcomes individuals, couples and families of all genders, races, ethnicities, faiths or no faith, and sexual orientation for services including:
