MHA Seeks Bilingual Mental Health Educator

MHA's team of passionate professionals is seeking an excellent self-directed and bilingual individual fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written) for the Bilingual Mental Health Educator's position. The Bilingual Mental Health Educator's basic functions will consist of supporting the Director of Education and Advocacy Education Director. This position's responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

• Planning, executing and delivering the following courses; suicide prevention (QPR Gatekeeper), MHFA (all modules), Advocacy, De-Escalation, and other training in Spanish and English on a routine basis.
• Community Outreach
• Other Program Administrative

Minimum Position Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology, Public Health, or Human Service Field desired.

Experience: Demonstrated fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) is a requirement.

Self-directed individual with at least 3-5 years in the mental health or related human services field, with progressive responsibilities in public health, human services, or similar community-based program planning, training/public speaking, and evaluation. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff, community-based, and private sector organizations. Candidates with prior community engagement and training/facilitation/teaching experience preferred. Candidates must exhibit cultural competence and the ability to with diverse populations. Passion for mental health education and advocacy.

Other: Must maintain a valid local (NC or SC) driver's license and have reliable transportation; nights and weekend work may apply. Knowledge of computer operating systems, internet navigation, and programs such as Microsoft Office. Every new hire will be under a 90-day introductory period. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Ability to work independently as well as within an interdisciplinary team. Excellent time management, organizational, problem solving, interpersonal skills, and a great team player.
