MHA's Featured Group Practice is HopeWay

HopeWay is a premier accredited non-profit mental health treatment facility for adults, ages 18 and older. In addition to 36 private bedrooms and baths in the Residential Program, HopeWay offers two day treatment options – a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), 5 days/week from 9am to 4pm and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), either 3 mornings a week from 9am – 12pm, 3 afternoons a week from 1– 4pm, or 3 evenings a week from 6 – 9pm. Additionally, HopeWay recently opened an outpatient clinic, HopeWay Psychiatry & Associates to enhance continuity of care, serve the community in a new way and help increase access to outpatient psychiatric care.

HopeWay’s holistic, integrated treatment model focuses on complete psychiatric and medical wellness with access to full psychiatric diagnostic and assessment services and psychological testing, when needed. Because of the importance of maintaining mental and physical health, HopeWay has achieved the recognition of a Behavioral Health Home, with their on-site wellness clinic to address the physical needs of their clients.

Their experienced team of psychiatrists and therapists work together to create individualized treatment plans for each client based on the results of their assessments and the client’s goals. In addition to individual therapy sessions, clients participate in group therapy and integrative therapies, such as art, music, recreation, horticulture, health & wellness, yoga and mindfulness and meditation.

Part of HopeWay’s mission is to provide educational opportunities about the realities and stigmas associated with mental illness to the greater Charlotte community. This includes an annual educational event open to the public, continuing education opportunities for service providers and behavioral health professionals, and speaking engagements throughout the region, including in faith communities, civic organizations and schools.

HopeWay is in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of North Carolina (and its affiliates), Carolina Behavioral Health Alliance (CBHA), Cigna, Magellan, and United Behavioral Health. HopeWay is not a Medicare or Medicaid contracted provider. Learn more at HopeWay's website.
