MHA's Featured Group Practice is Calming Waters
Calming Waters Counseling Services has been serving the Charlotte community for the past 5 years. The practice focuses their work on children, adolescents, adults, couples, and family therapy. Calming Waters believes in the importance of the therapeutic relationship; because without it, there is very little work that can be done. The therapists value the space they create to ensure clients feel safe and open to express themselves freely. The practice works in an understanding, direct, compassionate, dependable, and flexible manner. They work with clients to help resolve their identified issues so the client can move forward feeling confident, happy, and a sense of peace.
Their experienced therapists work with you to create a personalized treatment plan. In addition, their clinicians are patient in allowing the therapeutic relationship to grow and develop. They are trauma focused and experienced. They have specialized training in play therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family systems, and more.
