MHA Welcomes New Board Members for 2023-2024

As MHA kicks off the 2023-2024 fiscal year, we are pleased to welcome two new board members.

MHA Board Member Yuly Rodriguez

Yuly Rodriquez is the co-owner with her husband for VIDA Wellness Center in Concord. She has been nominated by Executive Director Kathy Rogers. Yuly says about her passion around MHA, “Mental health affects us all indirectly or directly and particularly in the Latino community there are taboos, misinformation and lack of access and that needs to change.” She brings to MHA an understanding of the Latino community and its community leaders and organizations. She previously worked with Leading on Opportunity and Common Wealth Charlotte. She was previously a volunteer with Fundacion Angel (Colombia).
MHA Board Member Joseph Machicote

Joseph Machicote is the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer for Premier Inc. Joe notes that “Health Equity and solving for the social determinants of health is a passion of mine. Being in the healthcare industry, establishing the opportunity to focus n care is very important to me.” He brings 30 years of HR leadership experience along with 22 years of diversity, equity and inclusion experience. Past volunteer experience includes: committee member with the US Chamber of Commerce’s Education, Employment and Training Committee in Washington, DC; Former Board President for Learning, Enrichment and Achievement Program (LEAP) for Underprivileged Teens, Charlotte; member of National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA), National; Member, Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), National; Member of the National Association of African Americans in HR; National Former Board President of The Diversity Forum, Charlotte; Former Board President of the Diversity Council of the Carolinas and Charlotte Chamber Diversity Business Council.
